About us

Lafayette and White Cellars is a boutique winery based in McMinnville, Oregon, in the heart of the Willamette Valley. We produce small quantities of thoughtfully made Oregon wine, with annual production averaging around 400 cases, varying by vintage.

Our winemaking philosophy centers on minimal intervention. All of our wines are spontaneously fermented, unfined, and only gently filtered when necessary. We avoid unnecessary additives, allowing each wine to express its varietal character, vintage, and place. We focus primarily on aromatic white varietals, while also crafting skin-contact wines, méthode ancestrale bottlings, and traditional method sparkling wines.

We are proud participants in the Oregon wine industry and value every person involved—from vineyard stewards and harvest interns to truck drivers, glass manufacturers, distributors, and local small businesses. We intentionally collaborate with partners who prioritize environmental stewardship, sustainability, and care for the land, water, and products they help create.

Lafayette and White Cellars wines are available in the greater Portland area, including at New Seasons Market, as well as select wine shops, restaurants, and retailers. Our wines are packaged in lightweight glass with recycled materials used for corks and labels, reflecting our commitment to quality, creativity, and environmentally responsible winemaking.
